The client’s response to the original 1ST RND concept was so positive that when they planned to open a new location, they came back to us for the launch campaign. I developed a concept that played on the eternal optimism of Edmonton’s sports fans. After years of being told their sports expectations will be rewarded, fans finally have something to cheer about.
1ST RND is already a proven contender in Edmonton’s food scene, so we built the campaign on that reputation. Building on the Ice District and Connor McDavid hype, we crafted radio scripts to sound like actual sports broadcasts. The visual campaign used one of the greatest examples of success in the sports world: a banner raised to the rafters. Yes, it’s going to be that good.
